Clinical tests
To evaluate the E>One’s performance against professional devices, the makers of the E>One in France founded a scientific committee. The committee was comprised of doctors, lecturers, dermatology experts and hair specialists. The mission was to conduct a full range of tests in many different contexts to determine how the E>One performs and to evaluate its performance against the competition.
Approximately one year ago, the committee embarked on a clinical study under medical surveillance, with 63 volunteers participating in the survey. The volunteers were both male and female, ages 18 to 55, with a wide range of skin types (photoypes II, III and IV).
The first phase of this investigation took place in a renown Parisian hospital and also in a private clinic based in Aix en Provence. The objective of the first phase was to confirm absolute tolerance levels and to rate the superiority of the E>One versus wax depilation. Wax depilation was chosen as it is the most commonly used form of hair removal. In this trial, the underarm area was selected to undergo testing. A hair removal session was performed on each individual, selected randomly, with a balance of wax depilation and E>One treatment.
Dermatology examinations were performed both 15 minutes and 24 hours after the first hair removal session. Two dermatologists who were external from the committee examined and evaluated pictures of each subjects’ underarm area, without revealing the treatment method.
Further hair removal sessions and dermatological examinations were conducted; images were taken to monitor progress every 7 weeks at the laboratory by technicians.
Results: tolerance
The results show that there is no long-lasting irritating effects when using the 2 techniques.
-15 mn after hair removal, we can notice very light redness marks among only 21% with the E>One (versus 46% with waxing) and in any case, no important redness (versus 11% with waxing).
-After 24h, with the E>One, only 3% still have light redness (7% for waxing).
-15 mn after hair removal, we notice a very light inflammation for only 7% (14% for waxing) and after 24h, there is no inflammation with both techniques.
Results: efficiency
Best results on the underarm every 7 weeks (49 days): Average of the results according to the two investigators.
After only 2 treatments, the results are very positive since 85% of users prefer using the E>One than doing waxing. 100% of the users prefer using the E>One than doing waxing starting from the seventh treatment…

Hair had stopped growing in 95% of treated areas.
I've never seen anything like it. I've never achieved results like that with laser hair removal!
Hairs that escaped the flashes were finer or softer.
The result was very positive and superior to that of a laser...
I had almost no side effects or pain, nothing close to what the laser caused, and far more hair grew back with the laser.

Like everyone here, the results surprised me.
First I treated my beard, and experienced only a little pain the first time on my chin and upper lip, but it was nothing compared to the pain caused by the laser I had tried previously.
The laser had produced disappointing results on my moustache, chin and the bottom of my cheeks.
The first 2 times with the E>One resulted in almost no hair left on my cheeks, a lot less on my chin and neck, and my moustache has just about disappeared… -

In the areas missed during treatment the hair grows back normally, while there is almost no hair left in the treated areas.

After a week it was growing, but 10% of the hairs came out easily with a little tug. I tested it on the tops of my thighs, bikini line, and the base of my penis.
I was quite impressed with the experience. I also did the nape of my neck. A little prick with each flash and a burning sensation for 2 hours. I tested it on my chin and mustache on Friday. It didn't feel very pleasant. As far as results go, in my bikini area, 95% of the hair fell out. Using the device is a bit like playing a game: you want to test it everywhere just to see.
There were a few areas where the flash treatments were not properly applied. Groin and base of penis were perfect.
Testicles and below: the hair started falling out one week after the first treatment.
Last week I did part of my beard (under my jaw line and adam's apple, mustache). SIgnificant redness under the jawline, pimples... started to disappear after a week, along with the hair. Growth is slower with bare patches. It's strange when I wake up in the morning. The result is almost perfect.
