  • Clinical

    "Paradoxical" regrowth
Great subject of controversy that these " paradoxical" regrowthes.
Most of the time they are due to a large ignorance of the evolution of the hair for an individual: traditional example: For men, the hair develops during puberty until very late: 40-50 years. Let's see a man of 20 years, of 30 years, of 40 years, he will not have the same amount of hair. However, most depilations are carried out on young adults (20-30 years) therefore during the age where all the hair has not been present yet.
It is thus not rare to see hairs regrow on peripheral areas with those depilated. This is unfortunately interpreted as a "paradoxical" growth, then it is completely natural. The depilated areas often stand out with the not depilated areas, where pilosity follows its normal evolution process.
In short, a technique of depilation by light does not stimulate the growth of the hairs on areas which have never been treated.
I have a mole on the beard and I would like to know whether it is dangerous to depilate with your device?
As with all the technologies of light dedicated to depilation, it is necessary to avoid flashing the moles. They are indeed " satured" of melanine. Therefore, they will absorb a significant amount of energy. In practice, we have included "Patches" and one "Stop"in the E>One pack (see accessories delivered with the E>One) to hide the areas not to be depiled.
However, it is important not to be confused between moles and freckles. The first ones will be avoided, the latter are not a problem.
May we use the E>One on all skin types?
Only black skins are not suitable with the E>One.
When (after how many sessions) will I notice the results? and should I always shave?
The first hair begins to fall out after a week on average. Either you continue to shave regularly, or you do nothing which allow you to notice more the progressive "balding".15 to 20 days after the shots, hair still there is that you forgot to flash. The best way is to make a session on this difficult hair. Then, you can decide repetition and interval between sessions: either you wait for 2 months ending, or you shot from time to time, as soon as you see hair regrows. By doing this way, after 4 to 5 sessions, shaving becomes almost superfulous.
Is there any risk of hair regrowth under the skin?
No regrowth under the skin with the use of the E>One: the hairs are brought to regrowth under the skin when they are "broken" at the time of depilation by pulling up (wax or electric epilator) or during shaving for some people. In these cases of figure, the hair is found under the surface of the skin and with a "sharp" end. When it regrowth, this "sharp" side " makes possible for the hair to take a different way from its usual "canal". It pushes then through under cutaneous tissues, creating with the passage an inflammation of these tissues. With a depilation by flash, the hair will fall into its entirety. This is a new hair which will regrowth. This hair has no possibility to mislay out of its natural canal. It will thus grow completely normally. The people who has to face daily these cursed buttons due to hairs under the skin, will see after 2 to 3 session treatments with the E>One that it will disappear and the skin will recover a normal and noninflammatory aspect.
At what age can we start using the E>One?
The E>One should be used under parent's consent.
I would like to know if the flash of the E>One is not dangerous for the eyes in the long term
The only danger to the eyes lies in a direct application on the ocular sphere. However, the E>One has been designed with a certain number of safety measures and microswitches which made the flashage on the eye impossible.
A pair of glasses, "Mask" is provided with the pack E>One and will have to be carried on during the whole use of the E>One.
Is there a risk of development of cancer?
The E>One works by operating a cauterization (closing) of the feeder vessels of the pilar follicule. It is what is called the "photo-coagulation". Before the emergence of technologies of light for depilation, the doctors used electrical energy to cauterize the feeder vessels. It was called "electro-coagulation". This technique began in approximately 1880. That thus made more than 100 years that, to prevent hair regrowth, we try to close the vessels which feed its feeder structure.
More than 100 years of retreat, who can beat that to be reassured? 100 years of retreat, it is much more better than all that is required to validate a drug nowadays. As for the lengthwaves emitted, they are completely removed from all their harmful slots.
In short, as long as technologies of lights will be used in medical sector, that means they will not present any risk of long-term change.
    And on the treated areas?
(...) depilation by flash of light does not stimulate the hair growth (...)
I have pimples on my skin (caused by hairs, according to my doctor) may I use the E>One?
Yes and with a disappearing of these pimples very quickly (after 2-3 sessions on average).
I am allergic to many creams. May I nevertheless use the E>One?
There is no possible allergy cause with the use of the E>One. As for the gel, there still it completely neutral and contains no perfume.
Is there any contraindication if we have a pityriasis versicolor?
    No contraindication.
I wonder whether the depilation of the nipples is possible.
flashing is possible without any risk.
I would like to know if there are risks to remove hair of the entire bikini area
The E>One is usable on all the areas of the body without exception. Therefore, for the entire bikini area, no particular risk, just to be trendy.
Is it possible to use the E>One during breast feeding?
    No inconvenience
Is there a medical contraindication for pregnant women?
The use on pregnant women belongs to medical contraindications set in professional sectors. By continuity, it is the same for the E>One. All the more than during this period, there is such a modification of the hormonal system (which I point it out has an influence on the pilar cycle), that it seems for me not interesting to fight again ones pilosity in this modified context.
I would like to know if we get a permanent hair removal and if so, how long will it take?
In beauty salons or at doctors', and with high quality devices, you need approximately 6 sessions to get real satisfying and long lasting results (during at least several years). However, we often notice that some people need more sessions (2 or 3 more). With the E>One, you need an average of 10 session treatments to get the same results quality. As in beauty salons or at doctors', it is an average and depending on each person it might change.
Can we use the E>One on scars, stretch marks, tattoos?
*Scars = no problem *Strech marks = no problem *Tattoos = do not flash them, you could modify their aspect and cause burns
I have an immunosuppressor treatment with ciclosporine. Is there any medical contraindication using the E>One?
The E>One, besides as all the professional flash lamps, is not in itself a potential starter of melanoma. Therefore, in the absence of existing melanoma, there is no contraindication to use the E>One. With regard to the risks related to use of cyclosporine, I invite you to require your doctor's opinion. You just have to ask him/her whether you can undergo flash lamp session treatments during your medical treatment.
  • Technical

Is the E>One guaranteed and if so how long?
Yes of course. Initially, I wish that the E>One be of French manufacture and I reached that point. That in particular made it possible to create several jobs and others still in the future according to the number of orders. The E>One is an extremely technical product and it is not recommended that its production is delocalized. That enables me to control its final quality more effectively. And that made live our good old country. With regard to the guarantee period, it is classically of 2 years manufacturer's parts and material.
What are the E>One's dimension and weight?
Height= 36 cm Largeur = 21 cm Weight= For the Pack E>One solo: less than 8 kg, packagings and accessories included
Will there be another thing to replace?
No, except in the event of breakage of the optical parts. As they are potentially vulnerable parts (since they are at the end of the applicator) and as they are fragile, they will be proposed like spare parts. Their possible replacement was conceived to be carried out by the user himself. If you use the E>One carefully, only the Optic cartridge is to be changed.
What is time between each flash?
Between 6 to 6,5 seconds according to the settings you have chosen.
Is that any risk of bad use?
This is one of the characteristics of the E>One compared to the professional flash lamps: it was manufactured on the basis of a risks analysis carried out jointly with the company APAVE (which has ensured that all technical installations, equipment and processes comply with current regulations) based in Nantes. This study took into account all the standards and all the risks that one can meet at the time of the use of such a device at home.
    What is the fluence?
Without returning in technical details, 4 parameters are necessary to appreciate a flash lamp: - power of the flash (called fluence if brought back to a duration) - the level of filtration of the emitted flash - duration of each flash - the real shape of the emitted flash and regularity (or not) of its instantaneous power. The only parameter “power” is thus only a partial element allowing to assess the quality of a flash lamp, its capacity in term of clinical results, cutaneous tolerance and feeling for the skin. To understand that well, I would like to ask a question: Why, to get good clinical results for depilation, we needed approximately 30-35 J/cm ² with the 1st generation of flash lamps, 18-20 with the 2nd generation, 14-16 with the 3rd generation and always between 100 and 150 J/cm ² (!) with a laser of the Yag type????? The answer to this question makes it possible to understand that this is not only the value of the fluence of a device which makes its effectiveness. Lastly, concerning the E>One, its fluence is higher than that found in about half of the professional devices currently marketed in beauty salons or at doctors'.
How long can we use the E>One without any risk of overheating?
    NO LIMIT...
Is the use of the E>One by an individual legal?
First of all, French legislation: there is a total difference between using a device in the professional scope and a private scope, i.e. strictly personal. Let us take 2 examples: - the assembled syringes (with a needle can be sold over the counter and each one is free to be made its own injections. On the other hand, to carry out an injection on others requires to belong to a well defined professional category, namely doctor or nurse - dental whitening: only the dental surgeons are entitled to carry out this act. An aesthetician, a nurse… are not legally entitled to undertake dental whitening on someone. On the other hand, you will find over the counter in pharmacy or supermarkets teeth whitening kits to personal use. For the hair removal devices, it is exactly the same: within the scope of professional activity, the depilation activity is legislated and regulate by this famous French order dated 1962. If, on the other hand, we are not in this professional scope, we can consider we refer to the above within a personal use. The applied legislation is then completely different. Any intended product to the general public must answer certain standards and very precise and very strict directives, according to some criteria such as its place of use (for example, in a bathroom) or the use for which it is intended. On a different note, I read the concept of class IV For information, this is a classification exclusively dedicated to the lasers (class I, II, IIIa, IIIb and IV). The flash lamps are not lasers and thus cannot in fact meet such a classification (confusion and amalgamates often made)
Is the E>One effectivness similar whatever deep is the hair?
The depth of the hair has little influence on the results with the E>One: A system of sensors included in the E>One applicator makes that you need to apply pressure onto the skin before you could emit a shot. To apply pressure has the following consequences (among other things): to lay down the part of the hair being under the skin, offering in fact a greater exposure to the emitted light and mechanically to bring the bulb closer to the cutaneous surface. To sum up, more the pressure applied with the E>One will be important at the time of the shot, better will be the results. Lastly, time between regrowth are not related one the size of the hair but more to the area where the hair is located.
May we have information on the energy level of this device?
Your question is particularly relevant because if we find it out frequently when we try to know whether such flash lamp for hair removal is efficient. And there, we can always read everything and anything, even from professionals using this kind of material.
You need to know that power is only a partial part which allows you to appreciate whether the quality of the flash lamp is suitable, its capacity in terms of clinical results, its cutaneous tolerance and feeling for the skin.

Without appreciate a flash lamp: - power of the flash (also named fluence if related to duration) - the level of the filtration of the emitted flash - the duration of each flash - the real shape of the emitted flash and its regularity (or not) of its instantaneous power.
For example, some professional flash lamps have energies (or fluences) quite lower than others, but which burn as soon as the skin is little pigmented (tanned) whereas the latter remain "safe" on these same pigmented skins.
This is the demonstration that concept of the flash lamp power to assess its quality is a huge hoax, and in any case, proceeds to a crucial lack of knowledge of clinical/technical couple.
Why do we have to put gel on the area on which we emit shots?
The optical transmission is partially broken if we do not place an interface of gel between the skin and the end of the optical guide of the E>One applicator.
In addition to a lower of the effectiveness, a risk of heating of the superficial layers of the skin appears.
In short, no use without gel to remain in a context of total effectiveness and total safety
The gel is used to ensure a perfect optical conduction between the E>One applicator and the skin.
The end of the applicator is made of with a part out of special glass. This part is applied to the skin. If we do not place gel between this part and the skin, it remains a thin layer of air preventing the good penetration of the light radiation.
As for an echography, where the end of the probe must, there too, bathe into the gel to avoid the barrier caused by the blade of the air.
The gel used is then the same as for echography. It is delivered with the device. It is sold on line like all the other accessories. Everybody is free to seek less expensive gel elsewhere (what seems difficult since we make the best efforts to reduce to all our profits (i.e. that is why, amongst other things, is our direct sales strategy to reduce third parties to all parts).
What are the differences between the E>One and professional materials we can find out on market?
Unlike some professional flash lamps, there are no risk relating to a heating of the skin. The risk of burn is thus eliminated.
You can can shot several times on the same area without any risk.
The E>One was subjected tests carried out by dermatologists on all types of skins from phototype 1 to 5 included. Results are without ambiguities: 100% harmlessness.
That is one of the major differences of the light emitted by the E>One compared to most flash lamps or professional lasers.
The E>One is perfectly compatible with all types of skin, including tanned skins.
In professional sector and with the current flash lamps, it is strongly disadvise having UV before sessions or expose to the sun after one session.
In the same way, to tan after one session with the E>One is not a particular problem if tanning goes with a protective cream avoiding any sun burn.
All the current flash lamps, available on the professional market, function overall on the same technological basis which is now 15 years existence.
In all these devices, the flash is structured such a way that it cannot be homogenous over its duration.Instantaneous power of the emitted flash is thus not constant (decreasing).
In fact, the energy necessary to get satisfying clinical results is more important.
The E>One innovates by managing the flash in a completely new manner. The flash is then perfectly homogeounous over its duration (constant instantaneous power) The direct consequence is to be able to obtain excellent clinical results with lower energy and thus an increased safety.
Does the E>One may set wrong over time?
It is necessary to distinguish the non-removable electronic parts and the consumable (cartridge integrating between-others a lamp). The quality of the emitted flash depends at the same time on what electronics will deliver to the lamp, but also of the quality of this lamp and its wear and tear. Concerning the lamp, this one is renewed regularly: the cartridge is set for a fixed lifespan. This lifespan is given to guarantee the same level of delivered energy from the first to the last flash. Concerning the generator (the "electronics" of the device) if a drift were to occur due to the failure of a component, this one could not have any consequence for the user: these elements were taken into account at the time of the passage of the standards. The E>One offers a "hardware" guarantee (and not a "software") so that a possible drift will not be able to exceed a value 30% lower than the 100% safety line.
  • Usage

What about if I forget to apply the gel?
The optical transmission is partially broken if we do not apply an interface of gel between the skin the the end of the optical guide of the E>One applicator. In addition with a decline of the efficiency, a risk of heating the upper layers of the epidermis appears. In short, no use without gel to remain in a context of total efficiency and total safety.
Does a man, who would have a baldness as Zidane has, may use the E>One?
Hairs pilar cycle is radically longer than the other cycles. Consequence: either you set longer intervals between sessions or you add sessions to get a long-lasting results (several years).
What about if I wish not the be permanently hair removed?
You can change the E>One settings: according to the settings you choose, you will get more or less important effect, that means more or less long-lasting. Results start from simple "photowaxing" to long-lasting hair removal.
In order to get an optimum efficiency, should we treat the area several times and how often are the sessison treatments?
For each session treatment, only one shot on each area to be treated is enough. When you start to use the E>One, there is an average of 2 months between each session treatment and the more sessions you make, the more time you will have between treatments.
If I emit flashes on an area several times of continuation, it is more efficient or faster?
The only interest to emit flashes several times on the same areas is to be sure not to have forgotten any small areas (the best way is to overlap slightly the flashes).
Ressent-on une douleur, ou des picotements au moment du flashage ?
Non, pas de douleur. La sensation dépendra surtout de la sensibilité de chacun, mais aussi de la zone épilée, de la quantité et du diamètre des poils flashés sur cette zone.
Why must we shave the area to be flashed before using the E>One?
Shaving of the area to shot is traditional for all the techniques of hair removal using light. The light emitted by the E>One is absorbed by the melanine contained in the hair. During this absorption, there is a transformation into thermal energy (into heat). This is this heat which will destroy the hair, or more precisely, the structure which builds the hair. Whether the hair is long or short, the energy will be distributed over its whole lenght. Therefore, we understand well that: - For a short hair, the "volume"of the energy delivered at each shot will be concentrated - For a long hair, this same volume will be diluated, since it is distributed more over a larger length. That is why shaving is important to increase quality of results obtained.
    And epilating instead of shaving?
Actually, when we epilate, some hairs are torn off from the bulb but other are simply "broken". Noticing that hair reappears does not mean that all hairs have regrown. An E-flashing at this time will therefore not be optimal. It is rather to forget any means of pulling up for at least 2 weeks before E-flashing. The only way to remain clean during that 2 weeks waiting is to shave.
Regarding the gel we have to apply before, what is it exactly used for? Would it be easy to get?
The gel is used to ensure perfect optical conduction of the E>One applicator and the skin.
The end of the applicator is made up with a special glass part. This part is applied onto the skin. If we do not place gel between this part and the skin, there is still a fine layer of air preventing the good penetration of the light radiation.
It is as for an echography, where the end of the probe must as well, bathe in gel to avoid the barrier caused by the air space. The gel is also the same for echographies. It is included with the E>One device and sold through our website. It should be applied in generous layer.
May we use epilatory cream instead of shaving?
The inconvenience of the depilatory creams is linked to their action process: they are chemicals which disaggregate the hair. However, this aggressive action for the hair can be for the skin too if the user manual is not strictly followed. In this case, the skin is damaged on its surface and loses part of its characteristics. Where our recommendation not to use particular chemicals before an "eflashing", depilatory creams by forming part.
If we place the E>One applicator onto the external nose area, do the internal hair in the nose may falls out?
For the hair located in the nose, it is possible. First, you just have to cut the hair as short as possible (which is not easy) Then, (...) you have to apply the gel in a deep layer to the entrance of each nostril, avoid inhaling when you do it, then flash at the entrance of the nostril
How long do we need to depile the entire beard?
For the entire beard, you need 10 min at the very most.
  • Others

    Will there be additional E>Ones?
Several prototypes were built up during the 4 last years. The electronique of the device used at that time of the show is identical to that already equipping in the E>One today
The other current prototypes differ from the size and the area available for each shot.
The "E>One 1", the one sold on December 1st, 2007 is that having he larger shot area.
Beyond the features of the E>One, don't you think the most important thing is that it should be efficient and perfectly safe?
You will always find people in lack of criticism, either by pure silly thing or by divergent interest. It has been 15 years since the "Flash Lamp" technology has had not really improved. Whether are some people not satisfied, the E>One is a technological breakthrough compared to the devices of its competitors in professional sectors.
And still whether are some people not satisfied, and perhaps the same people, this same technology has a big brother. And this big brother should come to the market as well but for professional sectors.
What are guarantees if the device is out of order?
    Covered by the guarantee:
The 2-year parts and material guarantee is covered by the manufacturer, as already mentioned in our sales condition.
    Excluded by the guarantee:
Simply: as for the other electro domestic appliances: after-sales service provided by the manufacturer in our factory.
Zone par zone, qu'est-ce qu'il vous en coutera ?
The "active" area of the E>One is of 6 cm². That means that you remove hair on an area of 6 cm² (3 cm x 2 cm) when you emit a flash .
    • An E>One cartridge has been set to last 3.000 flashes.
    • A cartridge allows to depilate 18.000 cm² of body surface.
    • A new cartridge is sold at the retail price of de 86 € (all taxes included), i.e. a cost per cm² of hair removed of 0.028 €
    Let's take some examples:
Prices for one session treatment (1 session treatment every 2 weeks on average)
    WOMEN
    • half-legs : < 9 €
    • underarms: 0.84 €
    • bikini (Brazilian): 1.12 €
    • upper lip: 0.11 €
    • chin: < 0.5 €
    • cheeks: < 1 €
    • forearms: 4.20 €
    MEN:
    • entire beard + cheekbones: 4.20 €
    • shoulders: 3.08 €
    • entire back : < 8 €
    • chest: < 4.5 €
    • belly < 4.5 €
Since there is an average of 1 session treatment every 2 months, it will help you to get an idea of the annual cost. For example: To get net underarms during the whole year, you will pay around 5 € and less than 7 € for the bikini.

  • Fabiellia

On the delivered E>One Pack, well packaged, quality finish, attractive presentation. Detailed, explicit instructions…

  • 17 days after the first session

Hair had stopped growing in 95% of treated areas.
I've never seen anything like it. I've never achieved results like that with laser hair removal!
Hairs that escaped the flashes were finer or softer.
The result was very positive and superior to that of a laser...
I had almost no side effects or pain, nothing close to what the laser caused, and far more hair grew back with the laser.
    Isn't life grand!!!

  • 22 year old man (Ridfa)

Like everyone here, the results surprised me.
First I treated my beard, and experienced only a little pain the first time on my chin and upper lip, but it was nothing compared to the pain caused by the laser I had tried previously.
The laser had produced disappointing results on my moustache, chin and the bottom of my cheeks.
The first 2 times with the E>One resulted in almost no hair left on my cheeks, a lot less on my chin and neck, and my moustache has just about disappeared…

  • Reggio: 35 year old man

I have been using pulsed light hair removal for several years at an esthetic clinic in Paris; the E>One works exactly like the machines at the clinic!
The comfort of treatment at home is great and the price can't be beat
1 month after the first E>One flash treatments...amazing!
I touched up my armpits a little, but there was almost no hair left!! Same for the legs.
The most remarkable for me was my beard. I treated the entire beard twice and almost all the hair is gone! It makes for a great morning!

  • Kryzy

Results on legs 3 weeks after treatment: I let it grow so I could really see the change! I was really impressed!! It was easy to see the spots I missed.
Conclusion of the first tests: if it keeps its promise, stop with the torture sessions! I'm in heaven!
Thanks to Yves Vincent and his team for liberating me!!

  • Bozzo:

Growth at 2 months: zero. There is almost no hair left in the area treated...

  • Sam (20 year old man)

First I'd like to thank YV for letting me be the beta-tester. Upon unpacking the E>One you'll find a device with a top of the range finish and high quality plastics that have been properly assembled and adjusted. The materials have a pleasant feel. You can tell that the device was built to last. The E>One has an elegant, clean and harmonious design. The applicator design makes it easy to use whether you are right or left-handed.
At the moment, the E>One is happiness.
In the areas missed during treatment the hair grows back normally, while there is almost no hair left in the treated areas.
On my face, several beard hairs have fallen out and those that haven't are easily shaved. I am completely satisfied with the result.

  • Maramu: 37 year old man, dark complexion, living in Polynesia

After a week it was growing, but 10% of the hairs came out easily with a little tug. I tested it on the tops of my thighs, bikini line, and the base of my penis.
I was quite impressed with the experience. I also did the nape of my neck. A little prick with each flash and a burning sensation for 2 hours. I tested it on my chin and mustache on Friday. It didn't feel very pleasant. As far as results go, in my bikini area, 95% of the hair fell out. Using the device is a bit like playing a game: you want to test it everywhere just to see.
There were a few areas where the flash treatments were not properly applied. Groin and base of penis were perfect.
Testicles and below: the hair started falling out one week after the first treatment.
Last week I did part of my beard (under my jaw line and adam's apple, mustache). SIgnificant redness under the jawline, pimples... started to disappear after a week, along with the hair. Growth is slower with bare patches. It's strange when I wake up in the morning. The result is almost perfect.
